We are a group of private citizens from Sanderson, Texas, who are trying to save their historic Southern Pacific Depot from the wrecking ball. This iconic structure is the oldest building in town, begun shortly after the railroad construction crews passed through in 1882. It is the heart of Sanderson and the heritage of our children..

10/16/2011 - Time is up!
We have now passed the UP-imposed deadline of 10-15-2011 and are awaiting their next move. At this point, major supporters have declined to help us and our grassroots efforts have not produced enough funds to save the depot. Unless giving increases in a huge way, we are in danger of losing the historic building. As for the Sanderson Depot Association, we will continue until the bulldozers come to knock the building down. Please help!
